Federal support

Look at the whole project.

State assistance is only one part of the picture. Eligible solar and battery installations may also qualify for federal support. We can identify the relevant programs in your proposal.

Solar STCs

Small-scale Technology Certificates can reduce the upfront cost of eligible solar. The amount depends on the installation and certificate value.

How solar STCs work →

Cheaper Home Batteries

Federal support for eligible batteries connected to solar. Battery size, usable capacity, equipment and installation requirements affect eligibility and the discount.

Incentives are subject to scheme rules and availability. A quote should distinguish upfront discounts, repayable finance and estimated future electricity savings.

Three steps to a clearer quote.

1

Tell us about your site

Send your address, an electricity bill and details of any existing solar or battery.

2

Check what applies

We review the system options and relevant incentive requirements for your project.

Review the equipment, installation costs and eligible incentives before deciding.

Your questions, answered.

Can I combine NSW incentives with federal support?

Some programs can be combined when each scheme allows it. Solar STCs and an eligible NSW battery incentive may support different parts of one project. Do not assume two installation incentives can be claimed for the same battery; ask for the eligible amounts to be itemised.

Is the $4,000 Home Energy Saver discount open?

As checked on 23 October 2026, the official NSW discount page still says applications are coming soon. The loan program has opened separately. Check the official program page for the latest status.
