Federal support

Look at the whole project.

State assistance is only one part of the picture. Eligible solar and battery installations may also qualify for federal support. We can identify the relevant programs in your proposal.

Solar STCs

Small-scale Technology Certificates can reduce the upfront cost of eligible solar. The amount depends on the installation and certificate value.

Cheaper Home Batteries

Federal support for eligible batteries connected to solar. Battery size, usable capacity, equipment and installation requirements affect eligibility and the discount.

Incentives are subject to scheme rules and availability. A quote should distinguish upfront discounts, repayable finance and estimated future electricity savings.

Your questions, answered.

Is every ACT household eligible for the solar rebate?

No. Home Energy Support is targeted assistance with concession, owner-occupier and property-value conditions. The official eligibility page explains the full criteria.

Does the ACT rebate cover batteries?

The solar rebate described here is for eligible rooftop solar. Battery support may be available through the separate federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, subject to its own rules. Ask for a quote that identifies each applicable incentive.
