Commercial
Solar & Battery Systems
Put your roof to work, cut your energy bills, and protect your bottom line with systems designed and installed by SAE.
How We Can Help Your Business:
SAE Group has been designing and installing solar since 2010, and today we are one of the largest solar installers in the country. Our commercial team looks after the whole job, from the first site visit to switch on and every service call after that. We design it, we engineer it, and our own crews install it. There is no chain of subcontractors to chase. One team stays accountable for the life of your system.
Most of our commercial clients see their system pay for itself in around three and a half years, backed by a 30 year workmanship warranty.
Better Quality for Similar Spend
Because we buy at volume and keep our design, engineering and installation in house, it costs us less to build a system.
We put that saving back into better equipment instead of into a margin for a middle man. In practice we can specify premium panels and inverters for what other installers quote for average gear. You get a higher quality system for a similar price, and a system built from better parts is one that costs you less to run and repair over its life.

Commercial Rebates
The rebates just moved in your favour.
Two government changes in 2026 make the numbers on a commercial system the best they ever have.
Solar
Federal Rebates Now Upto 1 mW
For the first time large C&I systems can claim instant STC rebates.
From 1 October 2026 the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme covers commercial solar up to 1mW, lifted from the old 100kW cap.
A medium sized commercial system now earns Small-scale Technology Certificates paid as an upfront discount, instead of the slower large-scale certificates that used to apply above 100kW. Businesses can expect to take around 20 percent off the upfront cost.
A 250kW system will now save around $68,000 at the time of install.
Batteries
NSW Commercial Storage
NSW has opened its scheme to commercial storage.
From 1 September 2026 the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme adds three battery activities.
BESS3 covers apartment buildings, BESS4 covers small and medium business batteries from 20kWh up to 200kWh, and BESS5 covers commercial and industrial batteries above 200kWh.
Paid as Peak Reduction Certificates, save between 20% - 50% off the upfront cost.
Solar & Batteries
Combined Stackable Savings
On a solar and battery project you claim the solar certificates and the battery certificates on the same job.
With solar around 20% cheaper to install and a battery incentive on top, a system that already pays for itself in about three and a half years starts to pay back sooner again.
We build both incentive streams into your proposal so you see the real number for your site rather than a headline.
Stack rebates on the same job and let SAE calculate how much this can save you each year.
A COMBINED EXAMPLE:
250kW Solar & 350kWh Battery
Here is how the two schemes stack on a single project:
Take a NSW site on the Ausgrid network installing a 250kW rooftop array with a new 350kWh battery.
The Solar earns federal certificates worth $68,000 as an upfront discount. Because the battery goes in alongside new solar, it qualifies at the higher BESS5 rate and creates about 32,760 Peak Reduction Certificates, worth around $81,900 at current certificate prices.
Claimed together on the same project, that is $149,500 of support, which takes a huge cut off the upfront cost and brings the payback well inside where it would sit on the equipment alone.
Larger rebates apply to larger systems with the maximum claimable for a 1MW solar system and 10MWH battery sitting at $2,608,125.
Two 30 Year Warranties | One Company to Call
Your system is protected two ways.
SunPower panels carry an extended 30 year warranty covering product and performance.
Our own workmanship is covered for 30 years, and it transfers to the new owner if you sell the building.
If anything ever needs attention you call SAE and we sort it out, from install to annual maintenance we've got you covered.
You are never left working out whether a fault sits with the panel maker, the inverter maker or the installer, because one company stands behind all of it.
Built Around How Your Business Makes The Call.
Every commercial decision has more than one person in the room.
Here is how the numbers stack up for each of them.

For the CEO / Owner
You want a decision that is still easy to live with in ten years. One local company designs the system, installs it and warrants it, and will still be here to pick up the phone when you call. Using superior panels make your investment resilient to weather, wear and tear and anything else that gets thrown at it over the system life time.

For the Finance Team
We build the numbers on your actual energy use, not a brochure average, and most commercial clients reach payback in around three and a half years. On top of the bill saving there is the instant asset write off and depreciation to account for, and a warranted system stays an asset on your books rather than turning into a future repair cost.

For Procurement
Everything is specified and set out in writing so you can compare quotes properly. We are ISO certified, we hold Gold Master Electrician accreditation, we have traded since 2010, and we keep the work in house, so you deal with a single point of accountability rather than a stack of subcontractors. Equipment, warranty terms and response times are all documented.

For Sustainability
Solar lowers your reported emissions and gives you a clear figure for your disclosures. We choose panels for a long working life, which reduces replacement and embodied carbon over time, and our installers are employed directly by SAE, which keeps your supply chain simple to report on. SunPower panels have the best traceability in the market.

For Developers
Our workmanship warranty transfers with the building, so the system becomes value you can sell rather than a liability the buyer takes on. Solar and battery also support your Green Star or NABERS rating, and a well sized battery can reduce or avoid network connection costs on projects.

For Project Managers
Our crews arrive when the program says they will, because they are our own staff and not a subcontractor juggling three other jobs. That keeps solar off your critical path. Our Gold level Master Electricians keep the site compliant, and we hand over clean documentation at the end.
How it Works
On-site Assessment
One of our engineers visits, reviews your energy use and your roof, and works out what your site can support.
Tailored
Proposal
You get a system designed around your load, with clear costs, savings and payback, and finance options if you want them.
On-site Installation
Our own crews handle permits, mounting, electrical work and grid connection.
Quality Assurance
We test and inspect for performance and safety before we hand over.
Ongoing Support
We monitor the system and look after it, with local teams on hand for any service and ongoing maintenance.
Capability and Scale
Commercial work is more than rooftop panels.
Through SAE Energy we hold Level 1 and Level 2 accreditation, so we can handle the electrical infrastructure that larger sites need, including underground and overhead work, high and low voltage, substations and network protection.
We design and build on roof, ground mount, off grid and solar farm systems, which means we can take on a single warehouse roof or a multi site rollout with the same team.
Real Commercial Installs
We have delivered commercial systems across the whole spectrum of sites from 10kw sales offices to government, shopping centres and heavy manufacturers including:
- Beenleigh Market Place
- Multi-site Car Parks
- 3 recent large batteries,
- Councils
- Hutchinson Sites
