Make more of the solar energy your home produces

Your solar system generates energy during the day, but your household may use much of its electricity in the evening. The Fox ESS PowerCube lets you store excess solar energy for later, helping you use more of the power you generate at home.

PowerCube brings the hybrid inverter and battery storage together in one compact, floor-mounted design. The inverter sits above a modular LFP battery stack, with options for both single-phase and three-phase homes.

At SAE Group, we start with your home and how you use electricity. We’ll help you work through your solar setup, battery size and backup priorities so you can choose a configuration that suits your needs.

Which PowerCube is right for your home?

The P1 range is designed for single-phase electricity supplies, while the P3 range is designed for three-phase supplies. We’ll confirm your supply type and help you select an inverter that works with your solar array and battery configuration.

The P3 10 kW model has a nominal AC output of 9,999 W. The Australian P1 10 kW datasheet also specifies an apparent-power limit. The power available from your system will depend on the selected inverter, battery module count, configuration and site requirements. We’ll explain what this means for your proposed installation.

Battery storage to suit the way you use power

The EQ5500-S battery modules provide 5.46 kWh each. PowerCube configurations use two to nine modules, giving you the following nominal and usable energy ratings:

Battery modules EQ5500 system capacity
2 10.92 kWh
3 16.38 kWh
4 21.84 kWh
5 27.30 kWh
6 32.76 kWh
7 38.22 kWh
8 43.68 kWh
9 49.14 kWh

We’ll look at when you use electricity, how much solar energy is available to store and which appliances you want to support during an outage. These details help us recommend a suitable battery capacity and inverter pairing.

What PowerCube offers your home

  • Solar and storage in one system: an integrated hybrid inverter and battery stack with a compact footprint.
  • Modular LFP batteries: choose a compatible storage configuration with battery management and system protection.
  • Backup options: support selected circuits during a grid outage when the system is installed and configured for backup.
  • Easy access to system information: check your system through the FoxCloud app or web portal.
  • Installation options: indoor or outdoor placement, subject to the equipment ratings, manufacturer’s installation requirements and your site.

Plan your backup around what matters to you

If backup is a priority, tell us what you’d like to keep running. We’ll assess the appliances and circuits against the inverter’s output and available battery energy, then explain the options for your home.

Backup operation requires the correct installation and circuit configuration. How much you can run, and for how long, depends on the connected loads, battery capacity and charge available. Grid bypass ratings should not be read as the power available from the battery during a blackout.

Your PowerCube questions answered

Is the PowerCube an inverter or a battery?

It combines both. The system pairs a hybrid solar inverter with compatible stackable batteries, bringing solar conversion and energy storage together in one integrated arrangement.

Do I need the P1 or P3?

Choose the P1 range for a single-phase supply or the P3 range for a three-phase supply. If you’re unsure which supply your home has, we’ll help you confirm it before recommending a system.

Will PowerCube work during a blackout?

Yes, it supports backup operation when the system and circuits are configured for it. We’ll assess whether selected-circuit or whole-home backup is suitable for your property, based on your appliance loads, inverter limits and available battery energy.

Can I add more batteries later?

The documented EQ5500 configurations support two to nine modules. Talk to us before planning an expansion so we can check the manufacturer’s requirements, equipment compatibility and space available at your property.

What warranty comes with PowerCube?

Fox ESS provides Australian warranty terms for the listed PQ1/PQ3 inverter and EQ5500 battery combinations. These include a 10-year inverter product-warranty period, subject to a manufacturing-date limit, and battery performance cover subject to time, energy-throughput and other conditions. You can read the full Australian warranty below, and we can help you identify the terms that apply to your quoted system.
