SOLO & RICO Recovery Systems Solar Installation

SOLO & RICO Recovery Systems Solar Installation

Solar Power – Solo Resource Recovery & Rico Recovery Systems

Application:  Solar PV 143kw – 99.84kw on workshop building and
43 kW on Office Polycrystalline Solar PV
Energy reduction:  219.219MWh per year
Energy Saving:  $46,206 per year
Return On Investment:  3 years, 4 months

SAE Group was engaged by Solo Recovery to design and quote on a solar system that would minimise the power usage from the grid over the 2 separate buildings.
The interval data usage was analysed to map the usage over the previous year of operations and input into PV sell to correctly size the required PV system, once we had worked out the system size we were able to present to Solo our findings with extensive graph overlays, data and ROI.
The Installation itself is spread over North, East and West rooves to maximise the Solar production throughout the day to suit the Internal usage from the premises. The 99kw Installation was required to be export limited to 40kw over the 3 phases as per Essential Energy approval, which was enabled by the use of SMA export control hardware paired with The SMA Inverters.

Solar Power – Connolly Concrete

Application: Solar PV
Energy reduction: 61.3 MWh per year
Energy Saving: $22,200 per year
Return On Investment: 2 years, 5 months

SAE Group was selected due to our broad knowledge in electrical works and accreditations as both a Level 1 & Level 2 service provider.  SAE Group offered ongoing consultation for more than 12 months.  A data logger was also used to determine the correct size system that was appropriate for Connolly Concretes requirements.  Initially the owner and general manager of Connolly Concrete were interested in solar power for their homes as well as the factory.  However, they did have concerns about whether or not solar power would actually achieve a reduction in their bills.  These concerns came from some uncertainty with the technical side of things.  This consultation approach helped answer their concerns.
